Feasibility Analysis of Downlink Baseband Board for LTE-A Air Interface Analyzer

The design of the baseband board for many types of instrumentations developed in China was limited to verify its feasibility by implementation. The feasibility analysis before the design of the baseband board is proposed to prevent the waste of the manpower and time resources because of the shortage of chip resources, which provides a reference for the design of the baseband board in the field-programmable gate array air interface analyzer. Firstly, the core processor based on LTE-A(Long Term Evolution-Advanced) characteristics and monitor requirements is determined. Then the storage capacity and bus capacity of the baseband board are focused on to ensure that the selected components have sufficient capacity and margin. The correctness of feasibility analysis is proved through the test on the baseband board, and provides reference for other hardware chip selection.
