Survey of secure range query processing in two-tiered Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract: With the development of wireless sensor networks, the secure data queries which have the ability of privacy preserving and integrity protection are demanded urgently, such as the secure range queries. In Two-tiered Wireless Sensor Networks(TWSN), the existing secure range queries mostly focus on the issues of privacy-preserving and query result integrity verification, but the problem of collusion attacks is less considered. In this paper, the common query model and network model of TWSN are introduced firstly, and then the detailed problem descriptions of privacy-preserving and integrity-protection in TWSN are given. From the perspective of privacy protecting and result integrity verification, the existing secure range query technologies of TWSN are summarized and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. At last, according to the analysis and conclusion, the future research directions are pointed out.

摘要: 随着无线传感器网络(WSN)的广泛应用,对于具备安全保护能力的数据查询技术的需求日益迫切,安全范围查询就是其中一种重要的数据查询方式。在两层WSN中,现有的安全范围查询技术主要以保护网络采集数据的私密性和查询结果一致性为研究重点,较少关注共谋攻击问题。介绍了两层WSN的网络模型和查询模型,给出了在该模型架构下的关于安全范围查询的隐私性和一致性的问题描述,并分别从这两个角度对现有的两层WSN安全范围查询方法进行综述;分析现有方法的核心技术及协议,对比各自的优缺点,并讨论未来的研究方向。
