Vehicular Network Message Authentication Technology Based on Proxy Vehicle

Abstract: The inherent characteristics of vehicular ad hoc network make it have many security problems. In particular, when there are a large number of vehicles in the coverage area of the roadside unit(RSU), the existing authentication methods are difficult to ensure that the RSU can quickly authenticate each vehicle. Therefore, a new message authentication method based on proxy vehicle is proposed. First, the proxy vehicle verifies the messages of other vehicles, and then transmits the verification results to the nearby RSU, and the RSU verifies the output result of the proxy vehicle, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing RSU calculation overhead. Second, under the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem, it is proved that the proposed method meets the security requirements of message authentication. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional authentication method, the authentication method proposed in this paper takes 76% less time to verify 3?000 messages, which can meet the message authentication of VANET more efficiently.

摘要: 车载自组织网络(vehicular ad hoc network,VANET)的固有特性使其存在诸多安全问题。特别地,当路边单元(RSU)的覆盖区域中出现大量车辆时,现有认证方法难以确保RSU快速对每辆车进行签名认证。因此,提出一种新的基于代理车辆的消息认证方法。代理车辆对其他车辆的消息进行验证,将验证结果传输给附近的RSU,RSU再验证代理车辆的输出结果,从而达到降低RSU计算开销的目的。在椭圆曲线离散对数问题下,证明了提出的方法满足消息认证的安全需求。仿真结果表明,与传统认证方法相比,采用所提出的认证方法验证3?000条消息所需时间减少了76%,更高效地满足VANET的消息认证。
