Engineering change impact analysis based on design knowledge ontology

Abstract: Fast-changing market requires rapid response in manufacturing enterprises. In order to improve the level of various engineering changes, a method is proposed based on ontology to present design knowledge. Ontology is used to express three aspects, including structure association, function association and external influence factors of products. Determination strategy of engineering change impact is carried out and then implemented with Java?algorithm. Finally, change of some parts of clutch is employed as case study to validate the advantages of this method. Results show that ontology can overcome the disadvantages of previous researches in presentation of concept and association in knowledge field, which is helpful to right decision-making in engineering changes.

摘要: 为提高快速多变市场需求条件下制造企业管理众多工程变更的水平,提出以本体的方法表达设计知识,以本体实现结构关联、功能关联和与产品外在影响因素三方面的关联表达,全面分析变更的影响范围。制订变更影响范围的确定策略,并用基于Java的算法实现;最后以离合器中某零部件的变更为例验证该方法的优越性。结果表明:本体在表达知识领域概念和关联方面弥补了以往研究中范围确定不完善的缺陷,可为后续正确做出变更决策奠定基础。
