Research and realization of high-precision synchronization of visual stimulator

视觉刺激器高精度同步研究与实现

Abstract: Achieving high-precision synchronization between visual stimulation and neuronal response is still the most intractable problems in visual stimuli generation development. This paper uses the MATLAB and C++ mixed programming, Windows timing functions QueryPerformanceFre-quency and QueryPerformanceCounter, and frame rate locking ways to achieve the high-precision synchronization of visual stimulator based on MATLAB in dual display mode. Experiments show that the synchronization accuracy of this method can get up to 100 μs, and has good stability, to fully meet the requirements of vision research.

摘要: 实现视觉刺激与神经元响应之间的高精度同步一直是视觉刺激器开发最棘手的问题。使用MATLAB与C++混合编程,利用Windows计时函数QueryPerformanceFrequency和QueryPerformanceCounter,采用帧速锁定方式,实现了双屏显示模式下基于MATLAB的视觉刺激器的高精度同步。实验表明,提出的同步方法同步精度达到了100 μs,而且有很好的稳定性,完全满足视觉研究的要求。
