Abstract: In order to study the differences between dysarthria patients and normal people, TORGO database developed by the University of Toronto is used to analyze the proportion of dysarthria patients and normal people in the range of abnormal articulation movement of tongue root, tongue middle and tongue tip. The 25 mm and 2.58 standard deviations is taken as the thresholds respectively in lognormal distribution fitting and normal distribution fitting. The results show that compared with normal people, patients with dysarthria have a wider range of articulation movement in the front and back, left and right, up and down directions of the tongue, and the proportion of abnormal articulation movement is larger than that of the normal subjects. The proportion in the range of dysarthria patients’ abnormal articulation movement in the left and right direction of tongue is about 10%, while that of normal people is about 1% when 2.58 standard deviations is taken as the threshold value. At the same time, the range of articulation movement in the left and right direction of the tongue is narrower than that in other directions.
