Design and implementation of multi-channel visual simulation system based on PC cluster

Abstract: This paper implements the multi-channel visual simulation which can supply a larger vision and a strong sense of immersion and obtains the high performance/cost ratio for the user by using PC cluster. It studies the system framework of multi-channel visual simulation system based on PC cluster, uses OSG as 3d rendering engine, proposes an easy method which is based on projection transformation to split the screen. The experimental results show that using this method can avoid bending and split screen easily and flexibly, achieving the purpose which expands the field of vision or has a bigger display size conveniently, keeping the visual and interaction in every channel synchronous and the picture fluent.

摘要: 使用PC集群实现了多通道视景仿真,在给用户带来较大的视野和强烈沉浸感的同时可以得到较高的性价比。针对基于PC集群多通道视景仿真系统的系统框架进行了研究,使用OSG三维图形渲染引擎,提出了一种基于投影变换的分屏方法,并应用于基于PC集群的多通道视景仿真系统。实验结果表明与旋转视锥体方法相比该方法改善了在通道交界处产生“偏折”的现象,能够灵活、简便地进行分屏,方便地达到扩大视野或获得更大的显示尺寸的目的,保持了视景仿真中多通道视景和交互的同步并保持了画面的流畅。
