Applications of GPS to define zone affected by transit node

Abstract

Abstract: Stagnation pointcan be found by analyzing the bus location provided by GPS data. The stop probability in different area of each road section can be calculated by divide sum of the stop count by sum of sample count. Through matching the high stop probability area with the intersection or bus station, people can find the influence area of an intersection or bus station. This method doesn’t need on-the-spot investigation, and can be used to define the influence area of an intersection or bus station of whole bus network.

摘要： 公交影响区域范围的选取对于公交浮动车的GPS数据采集与分析结果具有较大的影响，选取过大的影响区域范围将导致数据采集分析的工作量急剧上升，而选取过小的影响区域范围则容易导致数据采集分析的精度不足。通过对车辆GPS数据的深入挖掘，得到车辆的阻滞点，进一步得到路段上公交车的阻滞概率，从中找出路段上的阻滞高概率区，按照阻滞高概率区的位置与路段节点的位置进行匹配，从而得出路段节点对应的影响区域，摆脱了常规影响区域计算方法需要大量现场调研数据支持的缺陷，为大范围路网节点影响区域计算提供便捷高效的途径。
