Abstract: Fog degrades images greatly, and many methods have been used to enhance foggy images. This paper analyzes the defect of global histogram equalization, presents an improved local equalization method based on moving mask, discusses the selection of mask size and its moving step, and provides a solution to potential block effect. It is proven that this method can enhance foggy images effectively, and it is easy to implement.

摘要: 雾使图像退化严重,已有多种方法应用于图像去雾。分析了直方图均衡化方法在图像去雾方面的缺点,提出了一种改进的基于移动模板的局部重叠直方图均衡化去雾方法,分析了模板大小和移动步长对实验效果的影响,对可能出现的块效应提出了简单的滤波平滑算法。实验证明,该方法能够在增强图像的同时有效去雾,降低对图像的影响,且实现简单。
