Finite element simulation for drum brake of electric bicycle

Abstract: Based on the explicit dynamic analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA,a transient dynamic simulation analysis for the certain drum brake of electric bicycle is carried.The original model is improved by adding certain uneven force to the friction facing which connects the leading shoe and trailing shoe.The result shows the stress distribution on the brake drums and friction facing during braking process.Taking the friction facing as an study object,the improvement on brake structures can be carried out from three aspects including material quality,thickness and starting angle,and reference data can be provided to the software development of electric bicycle drum brake system.

摘要: 利用ANSYS/LS-DYNA分析软件对某电动自行车鼓式制动器进行瞬态动力学仿真,以非等载荷数组施加于与领蹄、从蹄相连的摩擦衬片,模拟制动过程中制动鼓和摩擦衬片的应力分布,并以摩擦衬片为研究对象,从材质、厚度、起始角三方面对制动器进行结构改进,为电动自行车鼓式制动器设计软件的开发提供数据参考。
