Improved mixed iterating algorithm based on demodulation and Turbo decoding

一种改进的Turbo解码与解调混合迭代算法研究

Abstract: The excellent performance of Turbo code ensures it to be used in the novel wireless communication systems.In the 3rd and 4th communication protocols,since using 16QAM or higher modulation makes all the bits in one modulation symbol have relationship to each other,using this relationship for the iterations between demodulation block and decoding block can make the BER performance better.In this paper,a novel demodulation Turbo decoding mixed iteration method is brought out.Through Monte Carlo simulation,the result is better than that of traditional Turbo decoding.

摘要: Turbo码的优异性能使得它被广泛应用于新一代通信系统中。在3G与4G通信标准中,由于使用16QAM或更高阶的调制使得每个调制符号中的信息比特具有符号相关性,因此可以考虑在解码端与解调端之间进行相关迭代运算以提高解码的误码率性能。提出一个新的Turbo解码与解调混合迭代算法,通过蒙特卡罗仿真,可以看出最终误码率性能较传统Turbo解码算法有明显提高。
