Research on uplink bit error rate of 3rd generation mobile communication

3G上行误码率仿真建模

Abstract: 3G is short for the Third Generation Mobile Communication,which is a kind of cellular mobile communication technology supporting high speed data transmission.The BER has to be limited to a certain range to ensure the quality of speech communication and data transmission.In theory the BER of CDMA system equals to that of the system built by 3G mainstream technology.Based on the known CDMA system model,key variables for 3G uplink BER are found out,including Eb/N0,SF and NoI etc.Approximately the new model of BER equals to -1.944 1E-3*Eb/N0-2.837 4E-5*SF+1.457 5E-5*NoI+1.794 1E-2.The conclusions will contribute some reference help to the research on the BER of TD-SCDMA standard.

摘要: 第三代移动通信技术简称3G(3rd-generation),是支持高速数据传输的蜂窝移动通讯技术。为保证语音通信及数据传输的质量,误码率BER(Bit Error Rate)必须控制在允许范围之内。理论上CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access,码分多址)系统的误码率等同于由3G主流技术构建的系统的误码率。基于CDMA系统建模,仿真得出影响3G上行误码率的关键变量,包括信噪比Eb/N0、扩频因子SF和干扰用户数量NoI,估算得到误码率BER=-1.944 1E-3*Eb/N0-2.837 4E-5*SF+1.457 5E-5*NoI+1.794 1E-2。工作结果对于研究TD-SCDMA标准的误码率具有参考作用。
