Abstract: Firstly，this paper gives the theoretical basis of Geographic Tagged Image File Format（GeoTIFF）：coordinate spaces and coordinate transformation，and it analyses the extension approach and the structure of 6 GeoTags based on TIFF.Then，the paper analyses the precondition of transforming GeoTIFF for MGIS.Finally，the paper introduces the architecture of LibGeoTIFF and demonstrates how to use GeoTIFF on MGIS by using a remote sensing image with LibGeoTIFF and summarizes the virtues of the approach.

摘要： 剖析了GeoTIFF的坐标空间、坐标转换、存储地理信息的相关途径和6个地理标签之间的关系及含义。同时分析了MGIS转换GeoTIFF的前提条件，在此基础上首次提出了GeoTIFF在MGIS上的应用方案。最后介绍了LibGeoTIFF的结构并结合实例对应用方案进行了验证并总结了该方案的优点。
