Multi-scale edge detection based on contour structuring elements morphology

Abstract: An improved edge detection method based on contour structuring elements morphology is proposed.Multi-scale edges are extracted using morphology based on contour structuring elements.The edges are fused by the method of weighted value and the edges are thinned by using non-maximum suppression method.The method can restrain noise and protect edge detail effectively.The experimental results show that the method can extract edge of noised image effectively.

摘要: 提出一种改进的基本轮廓结构元素形态学的多尺度边缘检测的方法。用基于轮廓结构元素的形态学提取多尺度下的图像边缘,然后加权融合,采用非极大值抑制算法细化边缘。该方法在有效抑制噪声的同时保护了图像的细节。实验结果证明该方法在提取受噪声污染的图像的边缘时非常有效。
