Abstract: The domain pool of the fractal image encoding comes from the picture which will be encoded.This paper proposes a simplified fractal image encoding algorithm in which the domain pool comes from a given picture that can be used as domain pool for every encoded picture.The experimental results show that this method not only simplifies the form of the fractal image encoding，but also increases encoding quality，besides，when a big picture is encoded，the encoding time is decreased obviously.

摘要： 分形图像编码所需要的码本都是来自于被编码图像，提出了一种简化的分形图像压缩算法，该方法的码本来自一个固定的图像，这样的一个码本适用于编码任何图像。实验表明这样做不仅简化了分形图像编码，而且还提高了峰值信噪比，在处理一些较大图像时能够大大提高编码速度。
