Redundant discrete wavelet transforms based disparity estimation and its DSP implementation

冗余离散小波变换立体视差估计及DSP实现

Abstract: The technique of stereo image processing will be the point direction of multi-media development in the future.The disparity estimation is one of the most important techniques.By analyzing the shortages of current disparity estimation methods,a new method based on redundant discrete wavelet transforms is put forward.First,the reference image is transformed and the characteristic points are obtained,then disparity estimation is processed according to the points.Test results show that the new method can obtain the parallax vectors and well reconstruction of stereo images.The method is also tested with multi-media chip DM642 of TI.Experimental results show that the designed project has solid real time ability,and can reduce the complexity of operation.

摘要: 立体图像技术将是未来多媒体发展的重点方向,其中视差估计是立体图像处理的关键,针对目前视差估计方法的不足,提出了一种基于冗余离散小波变换的视差估计算法。首先对参考图像进行冗余小波变换,提取特征点,然后根据特征点在目标图像进行视差估计。实验表明该算法能有效获得视差矢量,视差匹配后能得到良好的重建图像。同时在TI公司的多媒体器件DM642上进行了实验。结果表明,提出的设计方案具有实时可行性,并较有效地减少了运算复杂性。
