三维嵌套L系统及其在植物模拟中的应用

Abstract: With the development of fractal research,virtual plant has become a hot and interesting research topic in computer graphics area.For its simple definition and highly structurization,L-system becomes one of the most common methods used in virtual plants simulation.This paper proposes a new method to solve the problem using embedded L-systems which can be used to control the plant shape.The new method is then used to simulate coconut tree and thus avoid to finding the generation rules.The experimental results show that the embedded L-systems can simulate plants more naturally and realistically than traditional method.

摘要: 随着分形理论研究的不断发展,虚拟植物已经成为计算机图形学研究的热点问题之一。其中,L系统以其定义的简洁性和高度的结构化特点,成为植物形态模拟中最常用的方法之一。在简要介绍其表达机制的基础上,利用计算机对植物的形态进行了模拟,提出了一种嵌套L系统,它采用过程化形式控制树木的形态,避开了去寻找L系统生成规则的难点,构造了椰子树的模型,从实验模拟结果看,嵌套L系统可以更逼真地反映植物的形态。
