Symbol synchronization method for mobile digital television receiver

Abstract: The influence of symbol synchronization on receiver performance is analyzed and a synchronization algorithm of improving Inter-Symbol-Interference(ISI) caused by multi-path effects is proposed.By shortening the length of correlating operation and adding the number of received OFDM symbols,it ensures the symbol time that is located in the middle of the maximal multi-path delay and the symbol time.For the rotation gene caused by symbol time errors,its estimation is given by pilot sequence.The simulation results in the mode of DVB-SH 2K show that the proposed method can precisely estimate the symbol time.

摘要: 分析了符号同步对接收机性能的影响,提出了改善多径效应带来符号间干扰的一种同步算法。通过减小相关运算的长度和增加接收OFDM符号数,来保证粗同步的符号时刻位于最大多径时延和符号时刻之间。对于符号偏差带来的旋转因子项,采用导频符号序列给出估计值。对DVB-SH的2K模式进行的仿真结果表明,该同步算法对符号时间可以给出精确的估计。
