Routing Protocol Based on Path Quality in Wireless Sensor Networks

In wireless sensor networks, routing protocol based on hop count has attracted extensive attention due to its advantages such as simple implementation, low latency and easy maintenance. This paper analyzes the existing routing protocols based on hop count, improves the routing standard of the minimum hop routing algorithm, and proposes a routing protocol based on path quality(PQR) in wireless sensor networks, which uses hop count, global link quality and node energy as the metrics of path quality. OMNET++ network simulation software is used to carry out simulation experiments. The experimental results show that the improved routing protocol effectively increases the delivery rate of network packets and reduces the energy consumption of the network.
