Research on Chinese Characters Described by Track and Point Sets Changing from Regular Script to Semi-Cursive Scrip

Abstract: In order to support more efficient production or generation of personalized fonts, this paper proposes a method of using track and point sets to make the Chinese characters changing from regular script to semi-cursive scrip. By comparing the characteristics of regular script and running script, the track and point sets are used to calculate the strokes, parts, and their relationships, based on judging and generating the common hairspring between the strokes(the basic hairspring), supplemented by special hairspring and deformation with strokes and parts. Experiments have shown that under the principle of maintaining the original writing style of the users, the method of changing from regular script to semi-cursive scrip can support the generation of personalized semi-cursive script fonts.

摘要: 为更高效地支持个性化字库的制作或生成,提出一种使用径迹点集描述的汉字由“楷”直接变“行”的方法。参考楷书与行书的异同,使用径迹点集计算楷体字的笔画、部件及其相互关系,以判断、生成一般的笔画间游丝为基础(基础游丝),辅之以特殊笔画及部件的游丝和变形。实验结果表明,在保持用户原楷体书写风格的原则下,“楷”变“行”方法,可以支持实现个性化行书字体的生成。
