Partial multi-path QoS routing algorithm based on MSR

Abstract: In order to make routing algorithm in Wireless Media Sensor Networks(WMSN) support Quality of Service(QoS), there are many researches so far. A popular method in these researches is to increase network control overhead to support QoS. Aiming at the shortage of low network efficiency in the mentioned method, a new partial multi-path QoS routing algorithm(PQMSR) is proposed, which is used in the WMSN with Mesh network. The proposed algorithm is based on Multipath Source Routing(MSR), which uses the partial multi-path strategy and can reduce network control overhead by the IP header containing QoS information. The simulation test result shows that the proposed algorithm can guarantee high transmission success and reduce delay and network control overhead.

摘要: 无线多媒体传感网络(WMSN)QoS路由研究的普遍思路是通过增加网络控制负载以保障服务质量(QoS)。针对该思路中网络效率低的缺陷,提出一种应用于Mesh结构WMSN中的,基于局部多径策略的QoS路由算法(PQMSR)。该算法在保障QoS的前提下,参考多径源路由(Multipath Source Routing,MSR)算法,通过局部多径策略和携带QoS信息的IP包头来降低网络控制负载。NS-3网络模拟实验结果表明,该算法能够在保证较高传输成功率的同时,降低网络负载和网络延时。
