Abstract: Berkeley Media Access Control（BMAC） asynchronous Wireless Sensor Network（WSN） is based on CSMA MAC protocol. It uses a low-energy to listen（Low Power Listening, LPL） and expansion leading technology for a low-power communications. As its long preamble takes the channel, the neighbor is unable to transfer data, greatly reducing the channel efficiency. Based on operating mechanism of the BMAC agreement, this paper presents an improvement program, which takes advantage of optimized neighbors of the periodic table and improved with a gap leading technology combined with carrier frame sequence, further shortening the preamble carrier, reducing network energy loss, increasing channel efficiency, and ultimately it achieves the purpose of energy saving. NS-2 simulation results indicate that the improved protocol on the transmission delay and network energy consumption is superior to the BMAC to achieve efficient nature of the agreement.
