基于小波模型的多媒体通信流特性分析

Abstract: Media streaming has been increased demand on networks in recent years,and has drawn tremendous attention from both academia and industry.In this paper,two different types of traffic streams are generated using NS simulation,and are fitted using the wavelet model.On this basis,we make thorough analysis and investigations of the autocorrelation,probability density function,the cumulative function and traffic bursty of the time series from the traffic streams.It is demonstrated that the multimedia traffic resulting from the wavelet model behaves very similar to the simulation traffic,in terms of autocorrelation and probability distribution.The wavelet model could be used for a multimedia traffic load generator.

摘要: 近年来,网络实时流媒体获得了越来越广泛的应用,引起了学术界和工业界的广泛关注。通过NS仿真实验得到两种不同类型的通信流,并用小波分析模型进行匹配拟合。对上述两种通信流的自相关系数、概率特性以及突发性进行了深入的分析和研究。结果表明,利用小波数学模型产生的多媒体通信流的自相关系数和概率分布等特性与仿真通信流非常相近;可以小波模型为基础构造多媒体通信源负载发生器。该结果将对多媒体网络通信流量分析和模型化提供依据。
