Abstract

Abstract: Presents realizing fingerprint enhancement by processing in transform space. Performs contourlet transform on fingerprint then disposes the transform coefficients by estimating the standard deviation of noises. Preserve coefficients associated to edge and restrain coefficients associated to noises. Enhanced fingerprint will be obtained when transforms these changed coefficients back to spatial domain. Experiments proved that proposed algorithm is responsible.

摘要： 提出变换域进行指纹图像增强，对指纹图像进行多尺度多方向的contourlet变换，通过估计噪声方差水平，对contourlet变换域系数进行处理，保护边缘特征系数，抑制噪声系数，反变换重建达到去除噪声，增强图像的目的。实验结果表明算法效果良好。
