Abstract: A series of numerical simulations under various velocities about V-size traveling wave models with different aspect ratios of innerwall has been carried out for gaining the diagrams of microcosmic fluid field and the rules of drag reduction of each model by computer software. In the modeling process,in order to reduce the quantity of calculating, this paper adopts two-dimensional tube section instead of three-dimensional tube model, and adopts the turbulent RNG K-ε model which is more suitable for calculating of rotational flow and the turbulent flow of near-wall.Simulation results show that the traveling wave of the tube innerwall generates the vortexes which are beneficial to the drag reduction of the traveling wave wall. The densities of the vortexes are related to the ones of the traveling waves, and the drag reduction effect of the V-size traveling waves is increased as the ratios of the traveling waves are getting larger with the same height. The results provide the important basis for the project application of drag reduction technology.
