Abstract:

The shortage of parking spaces is one of the main problems leading to urban traffic congestion as well as the surge in the number of motor vehicles. Improving the utilization of parking spaces without increasing the number of parking spaces is one of the effective ways to alleviate the traffic congestion. A shared parking strategy based on users’ preference is proposed to solve the problem of “parking difficulty” and low utilization ratio of some parking slots. Three different parking modes are considered:waiting parkingmodein CBD, sharing private parking and sharing public parking, the cumulative prospect theory is used to analyze the cruise cost of users, it is found that the choice of users in different situations is different. The preference grouping method are adopted for allocation by modifying the critical path method, the results of the preference grouping are compared with those of the critical path method, which shows that the distribution based on preference grouping method makes the platform more profitable, satisfies more users’ demands, which provides reference for the management of parking spaces.
