Citrus edge detection based on self-adaptive canny operator

摘要: 提出了一种自适应canny算子进行树上柑橘图像边缘检测的方法。对获取的RGB真彩图像进行R-B色差空间的线性变换,在该分量上,利用积分图像快速计算高斯滤波器尺度参数,利用OTSU方法计算canny算子的高低阈值,从而实现边缘的自动检测。试验表明,采用该方法检测的边缘连通性好、噪声较少,优于其他传统的边缘检测方法,而且对不同光线下拍摄的图像均有较好的效果,为后续的果实识别和定位奠定了基础。

Abstract: A self-adaptive canny operator is developed to detect edges of citrus images.RGB images are obtained and linearly transformed into R-B chromatic aberration space at first.In R-B space,scale factor of Gaussian filter fast calculated using integral images and the high and low threshold values obtained by OTSU algorithm are extracted to improve automatic edge detection.It is showed that the obtained edge using the above mentioned method,which is more effective than other traditional methods has good connectivity and suppresses the noise well.Moreover,this method is less sensitive to lighting variations.Once image edge is detected with this adaptive canny operator,the following identification and localization of citrus might be applied.
