摘要: 802.11网络MAC速率控制机制根据信道质量动态地选择传输速率,对吞吐量的提升起着决定作用。针对MAC层速率控制机制进行综述研究,介绍各种速率控制机制的工作原理并分析其优缺点,总结了速率控制机制设计经验,并对速率控制机制的发展方向进行了展望。

关键词: 速率控制机制, 802.11, 无线网络, 速率调节, 媒体访问控制(MAC)

Abstract: In order to improve throughput, MAC layer rate control mechanisms in the 802.11 network adaptively adjust transmission rates according to dynamic link quality conditions. A comprehensive literature survey on MAC layer rate control mechanisms is conducted in this paper. The principle of each mechanism is presented at the beginning. For each mechanism, its merits and demerits are discussed. Then lessons learned from these mechanisms are summarized. Finally a number of open research issues are highlighted.
