CMT-SC:Packet loss detection scheme for CMT in heterogeneous wireless environment

摘要: M2M网关与M2M服务器之间采用CMT协议传输数据,针对CMT协议不能对异构无线环境下的丢包原因进行判别的问题,提出了一种基于路径拥塞状态的丢包类型识别机制CMT-SC。CMT-SC提出了平稳特征参数(S参数)和拥塞特征参数(C参数),基于路径的往返时间评估路径状态;依据S参数和C参数,CMT-SC将无线环境下的丢包类型分为无线随机丢包和拥塞丢包,分别执行相应的拥塞控制机制。基于NS-2.35的仿真结果表明,CMT-SC能够有效提升吞吐量,丢包类型识别准确率较高。

Abstract: CMT is exploited for data transmission between M2M gateway and M2M server. However, CMT cannot identify packet loss reasons in the heterogeneous wireless environment. Based on path congestion status, this paper proposes a loss detection mechanism called CMT-SC to solve this problem. CMT-SC utilizes steady parameters(S parameters) and congestion parameters(C parameters) to estimate the path status based on round trip time. According to S parameters and C parameters, CMT-SC divides the packet loss type into wireless loss and congestion loss, and executes the corresponding congestion control mechanism. The experimental results based on NS-2.35 show that CMT-SC can improve the throughput efficiently, and the detection accuracy of CMT-SC is high.
