Abstract: This paper is concerned with the emergency split evacuation problem of people from affected areas to safe areas under the condition of limited kinds and number of vehicles, and an integrated model for coordinating vehicle distribution and evacuation operations has been established. A genetic algorithm based on reasonable generation method of initial solution and some operators is presented to solve this problem. Illustrative computational results are provided by two numerical examples.
