Algorithm for image magnification based on wavelet transform and Cycle Spinning

摘要: 提出一种基于小波变换和Cycle Spinning的图像放大算法。该算法对放大后图像进行初始估计,对估计图进行小波变换,并用Cycle Spinning去除图像中因小波变换而产生的伪吉布斯现象,进行小波逆变换得到放大图像。数值实验结果证实该方法在放大图像的同时也增强了图像的清晰度和对比度,能够有效提高放大图像的RMSE及PSNR,该方法也适用于带噪图像的放大。

Abstract: A algorithm for image magnification based on wavelet transform and Cycle Spinning is proposed.It evaluates magnified image,then performs wavelet transform to evaluated image,and uses Cycle Spinning to remove the Pseudo-Gibbs phenomenon which is caused by the wavelet transform.The image is reconstructed by wavelet inverse transform,in order to obtain the magnified image.Some numerical experiments result illustrates that the method not only magnifies image,but also makes the image look much clearer and smoother.And it can effectively improve the RMSE and PSNR of magnified image.It also applies to magnifying the image with noise.
