摘要: Contourlet变换由于可以提供丰富而灵活的方向信息而被广泛地应用于纹理分析领域。一种改进的在频域具有良好局域性的Contourlet变换被应用于纹理图像的检索中。方向子带系数被建模为广义高斯分布,其分布参数用改进的最大似然方法进行估计并被用做纹理图像检索的特征。利用香农熵测度将纹理图像区分为结构性和随机性纹理图像,相应的一种新的基于能量特征和广义高斯分布参数的混合检索方案被提出。根据具有640个纹理图像的VisTex数据库,检索实验结果表明,和现有基于离散小波变换的方法相比较,平均检索率由76.57%提高到83.55%。

Abstract: Contourlet transform has been widely applied to texture analysis due to its providing rich directional information.In this paper,an improved contourlet transform which has sharply localized basis images in the frequency domain is applied for texture image retrieval.Its directional subband coefficients are modeled as Generalized Gaussian Distribution(GGD),and the distribution parameters are used as the features of texture image retrieval,which are estimated by using an improved maximum likelihood method.The texture images are divided into the structured and random texture images based on Shannon entropy measurement,and a novel hybrid retrieval scheme based on energy feature and GGD parameters is proposed.Experimental results based on the VisTex database with 640 texture images show that,compared with the method based on the discrete wavelet transform,the average retrieval rate is improved from 76.57% to 83.55%.
