Abstract: Satellite network is a novel wireless mobile communication network. Comparing with other communication networks, the unique properties of satellite network increase the difficulties to the network management. In the architecture of distributed management of the satellite network, an algorithm of management domains division is presented firstly based on the delay of links between the managed satellites and the sub-managers. The managed satellites select the sub-manager that has the shortest delay with it as its manager and the algorithm is simulated in the different constellations. Finally an improved algorithm is presented with a division factor δ based on the analysis of simulation results and it can increase the stability of the management domains.
