摘要: 随着本体的应用和规模的扩大,其复杂性也随之增加,给本体的管理和维护带来困难,也限制了本体的使用。本文从本体概念模型的角度,对本体的复杂性及其演化规律进行了研究。主要从本体的概念、关系和路径三者的相互依赖关系,提出了本体复杂性的评价指标集。通过对GO本体的分析,验证了该指标集能较好衡量其复杂性,并反映出其演变趋势。

Abstract: With the tremendous development in popularity and size, the complexity of ontology increases. In the study, we examined the quantity, ratio and correlativity of concepts and relationships in ontology conceptual model, which reflects the fundamental complexity. And a well-defined metrics suite of complexity is suggested. we measure three ontologies in GO to verify our metrics. The results indicate that this metrics suite works well.
