一种基于ρ域的新码率模型

摘要: 视频编码中的码率模型是表示一帧图像的编码比特数的数学函数表达式,是码率控制技术研究的重点。常用码率模型都是在寻找量化步长Q和码率R之间的关系,用信源的统计特性描述视频数据,并分析、模拟编码算法,为了提高码率估计精度,码率模型就变得特别复杂进而导致码率控制不稳定;但简单模型的精度又低。文献[3]从量化步长与非零系数的角度提出了线性的码率控制模型,能简单精确地进行码率控制。但没有考虑非零系数的大小、头信息及线性模型的常数项,且其参数数更新粗糙。针对这些问题提出新的码率模型和线性回归的精确参数更新算法。实验结果表明,提出的算法比TMN8算法能将PSNR提高0.1 dB左右,且性能稳定。

Abstract: Video rate model is used to describe the function of a frame’s coded bits,and it is also the key issue of rate control.The classic rate model is the relation between of rates and quantization parameter.These existing models are not accurate or too complicated,so Zhihai presented a linear relationship between the coding bits R and the percentage of zeros among the quantized transform coefficients,denoted by ρ.But the linear rate model doesn’t the head information,non-zero coefficients size.So this paper presents a new rate model based on ρ domain and linear regression parameters update algorithm.Experimental results show that the new rate model and parameters can achieve the higher average PSNR than TMN8’s method.
