Abstract: A template matching algorithm based on contour-feature is presented.Key-frames are extracted from the video and sent to a template store，then deals the templates with image pre-processing and feature extraction.The similarity matching is carried out by Contour-based Similar Distance（CSD） function with the binary images.The experiment of intelligent advertisement detecting system shows that the algorithm is simple and meets the requirements on matching velocity and rate.
