摘要: 对高性能集群来说,网络结构的互连模式对系统的性能有着举足轻重的影响。InfiniBand规范大大地提高了网络传输带宽,而胖树拓扑结构则以其突出优点——无阻塞传输和等分带宽等特性,目前已已被广泛应用。本文在简要描述InfiniBand技术和胖树拓扑结构的基础上,尝试把二者结合起来,针对剪枝胖树拓扑对平均传输延迟的影响这一关键问题进行分析研究,并据此对构建大规模集群系统做出设计。

Abstract: Interconnecting mode of high-performance cluster makes a great difference to the system,s performance. IBTA provides high bandwidth for networks,moreover fat tree topology structure has now found wide applications because of its advantageous features of non-blocking and CBB transmission. This paper, based on introducing IBTA and fat tree topology, tries to combine them and gives an analysis and study of the sixty-four-dollar-question of the impact of pruned fat-tree topology on the average transmission latency. Lastly, the paper provides a design of building large-scale cluster system with IB devices according to the study result.
