摘要: FGS使用灵活性强的位平面编码技术可平滑适应带宽变化。首先分析了现有基于滑动窗口的FGS码率分配算法时延大的不足,进而提出了一种低时延的改进算法。其根据相邻帧的差异程度,通过小滑动窗口插帧的方法来达到原来算法中大滑动窗口的效果。实验表明,在不降低太多码率分配效能的前提下,该算法能充分达到低时延的目的。

Abstract: Fine-Granularity-Scalability(FGS) is able to smooth the variation of bandwidth by using flexible bit-plane coding.This paper analyzes the high-delay shortcoming of known FGS rate allocation methods based on sliding window,and proposes an improved method with low delay.According to the difference between adjacent video frames,the proposed algorithm uses small sliding window with inserted frames to reach the effect of known methods’ large sliding window.Experiments show that the method effectively cuts down the delay without reducing too much efficiency of rate allocation.
