Abstract: Regional Sustainable Development is the instantiation of the Sustainable Development for a given space, time and system factors. There are lots of data sources and data types, which the researcher will be faced with. Different from the past data model that is oriented from computer, the data model of Regional Sustainable Development should be applicable and can be used by the end users directively. The Regional Sustainable Development data model should also be consistent with the conceptions of the real world, which are the cognitions of the human. This paper analyzes new demand of Regional Sustainable Development, puts forward to some theories for study on Regional Sustainable Development, describes the meanings of research on Data Model of Regional Sustainable Development and introduces new progress of Feature-based Hypergraph Spatio-temoral Data Model. On the base of the above, a new Spatio-temoral Data Model of Regional Sustainable Development is designed, as well as its abstract data types.

摘要： 区域可持续发展是可持续发展在时间、空间和构成要素上的具体化。区域可持续发展的研究面临多种信息数据源和多种数据类型。与传统的面向计算机的数据模型研究不同，面向区域可持续发展的数据模型应该是面向应用的，数据模型对客观世界的表达也应符合人们对地理事物的认知习惯。据此，本文在区域可持续发展的理论和数据模型研究现状的基础上，设计了区域可持续发展的模型及其抽象数据类型。
