Virtual-reality simulation of operations and radiation dose for nuclear power plant

核电站操作与辐射剂量的虚拟现实仿真研究

Abstract: By surveying VR’s application in radiation protection in China and foreign countries, a VRP(Virtual Reality Platform) virtual reality application about PWR(Pressure Water Reactor)operations and the calculation and real-time representation of radiation dose has been designed. Main contents include the 3D modeling software, radiation dose calculation software and the VR software-VRP. Referring to relevant data of Daya Bay NPP(Nuclear Power Plant), 3D models of NPP are constructed in 3DSMAX, and several models have exquisite structure. By using the advanced Monte-Carlo software-MCNPX and Chinese adult male and female human models, the dose human received is accurately calculated. Combining the popular interpolation algorithms and the features of 3D scene, a scenario-based interpolation algorithm is used and successfully calculates the dynamic dose rate. A domestic virtual reality software-VRP is utilized to fulfill the dynamic dose display. And the interactive operations demonstration is created. A virtual-reality simulation system of operations and radiation dose for NPP is constructed successfully. This application has an directive role to train the new operators and to reduce the dose received by workers of NPP.

摘要: 通过对国内外虚拟现实技术在核辐射防护领域的应用现状的调研,开发了关于压水堆(PWR)相关操作和核辐射剂量的VRP(Virtual Reality Platform)虚拟现实应用。主要内容包括虚拟场景建模主程序3DSMAX、辐射剂量计算程序MCNPX及虚拟现实平台软件VRP三部分。结合大亚湾核电站的相关数据,在3DSMAX中构建了核电站厂房的三维场景,并对相关模型精细建模,成功建立了符合应用要求的原型系统;采用国内外先进的MCNPX辐射剂量计算软件以及中国成年男女人体模型,对人体在虚拟场景中受到的辐射剂量进行了精确的计算。并结合目前常用的插值算法的特点和三维场景布局特点,提出了一种符合场景要求的辐射剂量插值算法,成功实现了辐射剂量的动态获取;采用国内自主开发的虚拟现实平台软件VRP,实现了三维场景中辐射剂量的动态显示,完成了与辐射剂量计算软件的对接;并构建了三维模型的互动操作的演示,成功构建了关于核电站操作与辐射剂量的虚拟现实仿真系统。该应用对核电厂新员工培训以及降低核电厂工作人员辐射剂量有一定的指导意义。
