Orthogonal poly-phase coded signals optimization for MIMO radar

MIMO雷达正交多相编码信号优化

Abstract: To obtain good waveform diversity and avoid mutual interferences, MIMO radar usually requires transmitting orthogonal signals. Some traditional phase coded signals are quite Doppler intolerant which restricts their applications in MIMO radar system. A new poly-phase codes method is proposed, which synthetically considers MIMO radar pulse compression output in target relatively still, identical and accelerate moving. It’s treated as a multi-objective optimization problem, which is solved by introducing an adaptive clonal selection algorithm. Numerical simulations are carried out. Poly-phase codes of better orthogonal performance and greater Doppler tolerance than the well known Deng’s codes as well as and Khan’s codes are obtained, which validate the proposed method.

摘要: 为获得较好的波形分集增益与避免波形间串扰,MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output)雷达一般要求发射正交信号。已有的正交相位编码信号对多普勒偏移敏感,制约了其在MIMO雷达中的应用。提出一种具有较好多普勒容限的正交多相编码信号优化设计方法,联合考虑目标静止、匀速运动和匀加速运动场景下MIMO雷达脉压输出,并将其转化为一个多目标优化问题,基于自适应克隆选择算法进行求解。最后,进行仿真实验。结果表明,相比典型的Deng编码和Khan编码,设计的多相编码信号具有更好的正交性能、更大的速度、加速度容限,更适合MIMO雷达系统应用。
