Improved routing approach based on LTP-RSS in opportunistic networks

Abstract: In opportunistic networks the line between mobile nodes breaks frequently, which makes the transmission between nodes abort frequently. To solve the problem, an improved approach, called Link Time Prediction based on RSS(LTP-RSS) is proposed. With the link time prediction, a node can predict whether the transmission would abort before the transmission starts. Experiments show that LTP-RSS reduces the network overhead of delivered message and the probability of transmission abort from link breaking.

摘要: 针对机会网络中节点间连接频繁断裂,节点间可用连接时长短的特点,提出了利用接收信号强度值变化来预测可用连接时长。在此基础上,给出了基于连接时长预测的机会网络路由改进方法。改进方法在每次消息发送前先对此次发送是否会中断进行预测。实验表明,该方法可以减少消息发送的网络开销,降低消息发送过程中由于连接断裂导致消息发送中断的机率,提高数据转发性能。
