Locally stereo matching method based on geodesic distance between segmentation

Abstract: Against the problem of the disparity map is not smoothly enough which produced by adaptive-weighted method, the paper puts forward a new color difference function that based on the geodesic distance between segmentation to weight the local support window, which combines with adaptive-weighted method and image segmentation priori. The dominant idea of the new scheme is to segment the image when matching, and regards the support window of the local method as a collection of different segmentations regions, then calculates the weight for segmentations of the window individually using geodesic distance, with that, it computes the matching cost, confirms the disparity by using the WTA method at last. Compared with the primary adaptive-
weighted and the primary segment-based method, the experimental result indicates that the new scheme has better performance.

摘要: 针对应用自适应权值法得到的视差图不平滑的缺陷,通过理论分析,将自适应权值法与图像分割先验相结合,提出了新的基于分割间测地距离的颜色差异函数,用于计算局部支持窗口的权值。新方案的主导思想是:在匹配时对图像进行分割,将局部方法中的支持窗口看作不同分割区域的集合,使用测地距离函数为窗口中每个分割分别计算权值,计算匹配代价,最后运用WTA方法确定视差。与原自适应权值和原基于分割方法对比,实验结果表明该方法有更好的表现。
