A Recommendation-Based Partial Trust Model in Clustered Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

Abstract: Many mobile ad hoc applications depend upon hierarchical structure, and clustering is the most popular method to impose a hierarchical structure in the Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. To address some problems on trust management in mobile ad hoc networks, in this paper, we propose a recommendation-based partial trust model (RBPTM) combined with the characteristics of clustered hierarchical networks. Mathematic analyses and simulations show that, the proposed model can effectively improve the connectivity and throughput of clustered networks with small communication and computation overheads, which is feasible for deployment.

摘要: 在移动自组网络中,许多应用都依赖层次结构的支持。簇结构是移动自组网络中应用最为广泛的层次结构。本文针对移动自组网络信任管理中存在的问题,结合簇结构网络的特点,提出一种基于本地邻居推荐的局部信任模型,并对该模型进行了数学分析和模拟实验。分析及模拟结果表明,该信任模型能够有效地提高簇结构网络的连通性与吞吐量,同时通信开销与计算开销均不高,具有较好的工程可行性。
