Abstract: The shape descriptor is crucial for 3D model recognition.A new approach is presented to calculate 3D skull spatial decomposition feature vector through using the orthogonal decomposition property of spherical harmonic transform.The shape descriptor is constructed and the criterion is built to compare the similarity of different skull shapes.The results indicate that this method is effective for 3D skull identification.

摘要: 三维物体的识别关键问题是找到能准确描述三维形状特征的描述子。利用球面调和级数的空间正交分解特性,计算三维颅骨的空间分解特征向量,继而构造三维特征描述子。提出了判断特征描述子形似性的准则,试验验证对于重建和扫描的3D颅骨进行了有效的识别。
